Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information HWA ("we", "us"), operated by EP Lab, collects when you use our website, and the choices you have. The short version: we don't ask for your name or email, your game data stays on your device, and analytics and ad cookies are only used if you say yes.
Information stored on your device
To save your progress, HWA uses your browser's local storage. This includes your puzzle progress for the day, your stats (games played, average stars and streaks), whether you've seen the instructions, and your cookie choice. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Anonymous gameplay counts
To improve the puzzles, our own server counts simple game events, such as page views, rounds finished, stars earned and results shared. These are stored only as daily totals. They contain no cookies, no identifiers and no IP addresses, and can't be linked to you or your device.
Cookies and similar technologies
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. Until you choose "Accept", we don't load these services. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
If you accept, we use:
- Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which pages they use. Google may collect information such as your device type, browser, approximate location (derived from your IP address) and pages viewed.
- Google AdSense to show ads that keep HWA free. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn more and opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings and aboutads.info.

Information we don't collect
We don't have accounts, and we don't ask for your name, email address, phone number or payment details. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you may have the right to access, delete or correct personal information, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or of targeted advertising, and to withdraw consent. Because we don't store personal information on our servers, the easiest way to exercise these rights is to choose "Reject" in Cookie settings and clear your browser's site data. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal where required by law. You can contact us with any request at contact@example.com. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Children
HWA is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the date at the top when we do.
